KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress, the main opposition party, has issued a warning to the Congress not to intimidate them.

Ramesh Lekhak, the chief secretary of the Nepali Congress, expressed this during a press conference held after the parliamentary party meeting at the Lhotse Hall of the Parliament building on Monday.

He mentioned that although Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” had extended considerable support to the Congress during the confidence vote in the House, the Congress had also supported the CPN (Maoist Centre).

He stated that even though the Congress had extended support to the Maoists only after they began their electoral politics, they had been supporting them since they were in the jungle.

He further stated that the Congress had facilitated the Maoists to come from the jungle to the parliament.

He cautioned the Congress not to intimidate them by making irresponsible statements.

He pointed out that the Congress is currently stagnant despite today’s activities in the parliament not being commendable.
