Chelsea secures spot in Europa Conference League

KATHMANDU: London club Chelsea has secured its place in the Europa Conference League.

On Sunday evening at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea defeated Bournemouth 2-1 to confirm their spot.

With this win, Chelsea finished the Premier League in sixth place with 63 points.

Bournemouth, with 48 points, ended up in 12th place.

Moises Caicedo scored in the 17th minute of the first half, giving Chelsea an early lead.

Raheem Sterling doubled the lead in the 48th minute, scoring from a Cole Palmer assist.

Despite an own goal by Benoît Badiashile in the 49th minute, Chelsea emerged victorious with a 2-1 scoreline.
