Seven accused in traffic policeman murder case made public

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested seven people on the charge of their involvements in the murder policeman Yubaraj Ghimire.

They were presented to public today.

The arrested are Sachin Pariyar, 21, aka Aaite, from Chagunarayan Municipality-1 in Bhaktapur; Anjali Shrestha, 18, from Dupcheshwor Rural Municipality-1 in Nuwakot; Basundhara Karki, 21, from Aandhikhola Rural Municipality-3, Syanga; Nunmaya Karki, 56 also from Aandhikhola, Buddha Lama Tamang, 21, from Okhare of Tani Rural Municipality-4 in Nuwakot; Amrit Tamang, 30, aka Dorje, from Indrawati Rural Municipality-1, Sindhupalchwok and one 13-year-old boy, according to Senior Superintendent of Police Basant Rajaure.

Ghimire who hailed from Majuwagadhi Rural Municipality-1 in Khotang was posted at the Traffic Police Sector, Durbar Marg.

All the accused were temporarily residing in Manmaiju.

His body was retrieved from Manmaiju of Tarkeshwor-9, Kathmandu as it was concealed beneath a mattress on the ground floor of an under-construction house, according to the police.
