In pics: Nobel Medical College’s awareness rally for World Hypertension Day
The aim of the rally was to spread awareness about the risks of high blood pressure and the methods to prevent it.
KATHMANDU: Today, May 17, is World Hypertension Day, celebrated with various awareness programs.
Nobel Medical College Teaching Hospital in Biratnagar also marked the occasion by organizing a morning rally to raise awareness about high blood pressure.
The aim of the rally was to spread awareness about the risks of high blood pressure and the methods to prevent it.
The hospital administration concluded the rally at Mahendra Chowk after parading through various streets.
During the event, the Director and Senior Cardiologist of Nobel Medical College Teaching Hospital, Prof. Dr. Rajesh Nepal, welcomed and felicitated Mayor Nagesh Koirala of Biratnagar Metropolitan City with a garland and a bouquet of flowers.
The morning rally saw participation from doctors, staff, resident physicians, interns, as well as journalists, social workers, and local residents.
Concluding the morning rally, Prof. Dr. Rajesh Nepal shed light on World Hypertension Day’s significance.
Mayor Koirala thanked Nobel for organizing the morning rally to raise awareness about high blood pressure and expressed his gratitude to Dr. Rajesh Nepal and the Nobel team.
He also pledged cooperation in similar awareness programs in the future.
