Two killed in separate electrocution incidents

KATHMANDU: Two tragic incidents have occurred in different parts of Nepal.

In Jyamire, Chichila Rural Municipality-2, Sankhuwasabha, a 24-year-old man named Chhembi Sherpa died on Friday afternoon due to an electric current. He was electrocuted in Kaguwakhola, within the same rural municipality, while fishing using electric current.

Meanwhile, in Thasang, Mustang, a 25-year-old man named Amat Chhantyal was electrocuted on Friday morning while cutting grass in the nearby jungle. He was rushed to the primary health post for treatment but succumbed to his injuries.

Both incidents have prompted the authorities to launch investigations into the matter.
