29-year-old man held for raping a 33-year-old woman

KATHMANDU: On Wednesday night, police arrested 29-year-old Homraj Rai, a resident of Bhojpur Salpasilichho Rural Municipality-4, on the charge of raping a 33-year-old woman.

On the night of May 11, police deputed from Jitpur Police Station and District Police Office Dhankuta arrested him based on a complaint that Rai met the woman through Facebook and took her to house in Mahalaxmi Municipality-9 Tunibote, Dhankuta, asking her to go for a walk.

The police are conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
