President Paudel inaugurates National Conference of Lawyers

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has inaugurated the 16th All Nepal Lawyers National Conference.

President Paudel inaugurated the three-day conference that began today at Nepal Pragya-Pratishthan, Kathmandu, with the slogan ‘Competent legal practitioners, competent bar: Restructuring of the judiciary is the basis for strengthening democracy’.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Chief Justice Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha, other judges, senior advocates, and legal professionals were present at the opening ceremony.

According to the Nepal Bar Association, approximately 7,000 legal practitioners from across the country are expected to participate in the conference, which will run from May 17 to May 19.
