Nepali Congress’ obstruct leads to postponement of NA meeting
The session will now reconvene on Friday at 1:15 PM.

KATHMANDU: The National Assembly meeting scheduled for Thursday (today) was postponed after protests by the major opposition party, Nepali Congress.
The session will now reconvene on Friday at 1:15 PM.
During the presentation of the proceedings at the start of the meeting, Nepali Congress MPs stood up in protest, prompting the National Assembly Chair, Narayan Prasad Dahal, to adjourn the session until Friday.
Chair Dahal remarked that new patterns are emerging in the seven-year history of the National Assembly.
He noted that the protests within the assembly were causing discomfort for everyone and had sparked a novel type of public discussion outside the assembly.
Dahal urged the Nepali Congress to play a constructive role in ensuring the smooth progression of the assembly’s activities.
