KATHMANDU: The government has accepted a grant of 13 million euros from Finland to implement the Climate Change Adaptation Program.

Government spokesperson Rekha Sharma announced that this decision was made during a Cabinet meeting held on Thursday at Singha Durbar.

Sharma, who is also the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, mentioned that Loknath Paudel has been promoted to the Gazetted Special Class position under the Nepal Administration Service Group, and Rajendra Prasad Mishra has been promoted to the Gazetted Special Class position under the Nepal Agriculture and Forest Service Group.

Additionally, the government has appointed Prof. Dr. Lekhnath Sharma as the Executive Chairman of the Policy Research Foundation Development Committee.

She stated, “The government has decided to accept a 13 million euro grant from the Finnish government to implement the Climate Change Adaptation Program.

  1. Loknath Paudel has been promoted to the Gazetted Special Class post within the Nepal Administration Service Grouping.
  2. Rajendra Prasad Mishra has been promoted to the Gazetted Special Class post within the Nepal Agriculture and Forest Service Grouping.
  3. Prof. Dr. Lekhnath Sharma has been appointed as the Executive Chairman of the Policy Research Foundation Development Committee.
  4. Sangita Khadka of Kathmandu has been appointed to the vacant Chairman post of the Minimum Wage Determination Committee.
  5. The government has appointed Sangita Khadka as the Chairman of the Minimum Wage Determination Committee.
