Two phoney doctors held in Doti for alleged health camp fraud

KATHMANDU: District Police Office Doti has arrested two phoney doctors on allegations of conducting fraudulent health camps in Rajpur, Doti.
According to the police, the fake doctors, identified as Bhupendra Bahadur Kshetri, 44, from Mahakali Municipality-4, and his accomplice Pushkar Guneyal, 46, from Bhimdatta Municipality-18, were apprehended.
Upon scrutinizing their documents, doubts arose, and when their credentials were sent to the Nepal Medical Council in Kathmandu, it was found that Bhupendra Bahadur Kshetri did not possess a valid medical certificate.
Subsequently, on Wednesday, both individuals were registered for investigation into medical malpractice.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhim Lal Bhattarai informed that following the registration of cases against both individuals, the District Court in Doti has extended the remand by five days for further investigation.
The accused individuals allegedly conducted fraud by organizing health camps in Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality-4.
