KATHMANDU: Real Madrid clinched the Spanish La Liga title with a resounding victory over Alaves, sealing their triumph with a 5-0 win at the Bernabeu on Tuesday night.
With this win in the concluded match, Real secured victory with a comfortable five-goal margin.
The win took Real Madrid’s tally to 93 points from 36 matches.
Alaves, on the other hand, suffered defeat, remaining at the 11th position with 42 points from 36 games.
Jude Bellingham opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the 10th minute, capitalizing on a pass from Toni Kroos.
Junior doubled the lead for Real in the 27th minute, finishing off Eduardo Camavinga’s pass.
Federico Valverde extended Real’s lead to 3-0 in the first minute of added time in the first half, tapping in Bale’s pass.
In the 70th minute, Junior scored his second goal of the night and Real’s fourth, converting from Junior’s pass.
Then, in the 81st minute, Arda Guler added insult to injury for Alaves by netting the fifth goal, securing Real Madrid’s 5-0 victory.
