Renowned historian & academician Gyan Mani Nepal passes away at 92

KATHMANDU: Renowned historian and academician Gyan Mani Nepal has passed away.

Gyan Mani Nepal, who had been suffering from heart disease and other health issues for an extended period, died while undergoing treatment at the Manmohan Cardiovascular and Transplant Center.

According to his brother, Ek Mani Nepal, Gyan Mani was admitted to Manmohan from Civil Hospital via Gangalal Hospital on Friday, but his health did not improve.

He passed away on Tuesday afternoon.

Nepal, who had conducted in-depth studies on ancient and medieval history, was 92 years old at the time of his death.

His wife had passed away a few years earlier, and he is survived by his two sons.
