KATHMANDU: The District Police Office of Kaski has requested the Department of Passports to cancel the passport of Gitendra Babu (GB) Rai, the founding chair of Suryadarshan Cooperative.

This request follows the issuance of both a diffusion and a red notice against him by the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol).

Despite these notices, authorities have been unable to bring Rai back to Nepal.

Consequently, the police have now sought the cancellation of his passport to prevent him from traveling between countries.

Previously, it was reported that Rai was in Malaysia.

However, suspicions have arisen that he has since moved to another country, prompting the police to push for the passport cancellation.
