YANGON: Three people have been killed after a vehicle overturned in southern Myanmar’s Ayeyarwady Region on Thursday, according to an official from a local rescue organization on Friday.
The official from Alinka Rescue Organization told Xinhua that the accident took place at around 3 p.m. local time on Thursday, and their rescue team participated in transporting the deceased.
The accident took place on the Yangon-Sarmalauk Road in Maubin Township of Ayeyarwady Region after a light truck carrying a coffin for a local funeral services organization overturned, local media reported.
The cause of the accident was a tire blowout, the reports said, adding that the deceased are all males.
