Man found along the banks of Kaligandaki

KATHMANDU: The body of a youth from Ward No. 9 of Chapakot Municipality in Syangja has been found in the Kaligandaki River.
The deceased has been identified as Durga Bahadur Thapa (Safal) 30, a resident of Badi, Chapakot-9.
His body was found on Tuesday in the Kaligandaki River near Bhujat, Rampur Municipality-8.
Since last Sunday, Thapa had been out of contact, and his body was discovered by locals near the riverbank.
The local police station in Ramapur, headed by Inspector Salikaram Khanal, confirmed the identification of the body made by Thapa’s relatives.
Fishermen who went for fishing noticed the body near the riverbank in the afternoon and informed the police.
The body has been taken to Rampur Hospital for postmortem, and further investigation into the incident is underway, as informed by the police.
