Two officers injured in shooting at Paris Police Station

KATHMANDU: On Thursday evening, according to police sources, two police officers were shot at a police station in Paris, Xinhua reported.

Following the incident, both officers were promptly transported to a hospital, with one of them reported to be in critical condition.

As per reports from the French news channel France Info, the assailant, who had been apprehended for domestic violence, managed to seize the firearm of one of the officers before firing at them.

The shooting comes with France on a high state of security alert ahead of the Olympic Games, which start in July.
