Parliament’s budget session from Today (agenda)

The Federal Parliament Secretariat has already issued a public notice to all members of parliament to attend the session called for today at 2 pm at the International Conference Center in New Baneshwor.

KATHMANDU: The annual budget session of both the House of Representatives and the National Assembly, also known as the federal parliament, is commencing from today.

In accordance with Article 93 (1) of the Nepalese Constitution, President Ram Chandra Paudel has issued an invitation for the budget session of both houses, scheduled to start on the May 2.

The Federal Parliament Secretariat has already issued a public notice to all members of parliament to attend the session called for today at 2 pm at the International Conference Center in New Baneshwor.

There is a constitutional provision that the estimated statement of income and expenditure (budget) of the next financial year must be submitted to the Parliament on May 28.

Before that, the annual policy and program of the government will be presented by the president in the joint meeting of both houses.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire has already discussed with the top leaders of the major political parties represented in the Parliament to conduct the session effectively.
