Hikmat Karki to form small cabinet today

KATHMANDU: Hikmat Kumar Karki, the Chief Minister of State 2, has announced today that he will form a small-sized cabinet.
Karki, who was appointed as the Chief Minister on Thursday afternoon, will also form a small cabinet in the evening along with his oath taking.
CPN-UML Chief Whip Rewatiraman Bhandari has stated that Chief Minister Karki is preparing to construct a three-member government.
According to Bhandari, two persons, including the Chief Minister, would be nominated from the UML, and one from the Maoist Centre.
Both parties are discussing the minister’s name.
The names of Ram Rana from UML and Durga Chapagain, Ganesh Upreti, Narayan Burjamagar, Rajendra Karki, and Baburam Gautam from the Maoist Center are under consideration.
