8 dead in a Turkey road accident

KATHMANDU: In the İslahiye district of Gaziantep province in southern Turkey, a collision between a minibus and a concrete mixer claimed the lives of at least 8 individuals, with 11 others sustaining injuries.

The incident occurred in the Agabe area of the İslahiye-Hatay highway.

Health, firefighting, and police teams swiftly responded to the scene, conducting rescue operations.

An ongoing investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.

Both the truck driver and the minibus driver were injured in the collision.

Following medical treatment, the truck driver was apprehended by authorities.
