KATHMANDU: In a friendly match with England ‘C’, the Nepali National Football Team has been defeated by 2-0.

On Monday, Nepal’s national football team suffered a 2-0 loss against England ‘C’ in a friendly match held at Aldershot Town FC’s EBB Stadium.

Nick Kabamba and Kyle Storer scored goals for England ‘C’ to secure the victory.

England took the lead in the eighth minute through Nick Kabamba’s goal.

Just five minutes later, Nepal’s goalkeeper Kiran Kumar Limbu made a clear attempt to catch a corner kick but missed, leading to a goal by Storer.

Previously, Nepal had played a friendly match against the British Army on Friday, which ended in a goalless draw.

Preparations for the remaining matches of the FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup joint qualifiers are underway for the Nepali team currently in the UK.

Nepal is scheduled to face the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on June 6 at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor.

Following this, Nepal will play their final match against Yemen on June 11 at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium in Qatar.
