InDrive officially launches services in Nepal

KATHMANDU: The ride-sharing app ‘InDrive’ has officially launched its services today, with InDrive Nepal’s director, Rita Pokharel, announcing the commencement of formal services at the inaugural event.

She stated, ‘After years of testing and completing legal procedures, we have officially started our services today.’

Furthermore, she mentioned that insurance for drivers and passengers will also be provided shortly.

Pokharel also informed that riders will be charged a 10% service fee to the company for using the service.

The company has announced its collaboration with IME Pay for payment services.

InDrive is currently available in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Bharatpur, with plans to expand to other cities soon.

Additionally, the director stated that besides ride-sharing, the company will also offer courier and cargo services.

Pavith Nanda Anand, the Asia Pacific Communications Lead at InDrive, expressed delight at the official launch of InDrive’s services in Nepal.

He stated, ‘The Nepali market is crucial for us, and we are confident that our services will provide employment opportunities.’
