KATHMANDU: Bhandarilal Ahir, Minister of Agriculture and Land Management of the Lumbini State Government, has taken over his duties.

Previously ousted during the Janata Samajwadi Party’s split from the government, Minister Ahir rejoins the administration after the party’s recent reconciliation.

Under the leadership of Ashok Rai, Ahir aligns with the faction slated to form a new party.

Despite his resignation announcement on April 20 citing lack of consensus, Chief Minister Jokh Bahadur Mahara did not accept it.

Ahir assumed his duties on Monday at the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Management, confirmed by his personal secretary, Rajendra Bishwakarma.
