Body of 31-year-old woman found in Gongabu hotel, one arrested

KATHMANDU: A dead body of a woman has been found in Gongabu.

The dead body of 31-year-old Kalpana Bhandari of Letang Municipality-2, Morang, and was currently living in Bansbari has been discovered in a hotel in Gongabu.

The police said that the body was found hanging in a hotel in Gongabu on Friday.

After news of the woman hanged, she was rescued and taken to the TU Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj. However, the hospital declared her dead.

The woman had been staying at the hotel with Anit Karki, 32, from Ward No. 15 of Chandragiri Municipality.

Karki has been arrested on charges of abetting suicide.
