Pedestrian dies in bike hit

KATHMANDU: A pedestrian was killed when a motorcycle with the number State 1-01-013 Pa 5784 hit Rupchanbari in Bahradashi Rural Municipality-6, Jhapa.

Ban Murmu, a 45-year-old local, was identified as the deceased.

The police said that he was seriously injured in the collision and died at Birta City Hospital Birtamode during treatment.

According to the police, the 34-year-old Basanta Rajbanshi, the motorcyclist who hit, has been detained by the police and further investigations are being conducted in connection with the incident.
