KATHMANDU: Another casualty has been reported in the ongoing rescue efforts following the wildfire in Godawari Municipality-4, Lalitpur.

Ramesh Pahari, aged 50, succumbed to injuries sustained during the wildfire mitigation operation.

Ramesh, a resident of Ward No. 4 of Godawari Municipality, was undergoing treatment at Kirtipur Burn Hospital.

His demise was confirmed by SP Naresh Raj Subedi, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Bhaktapur, earlier this morning.

This tragic incident comes in the wake of another fatality on Tuesday when Shankar Pahari also passed away while receiving treatment at the same hospital as part of landslide relief efforts.

The landslide mitigation operation continued on Tuesday afternoon, with casualties reported.

Additionally, patients from the Ananda Forest in Godawari Municipality-6, Lalitpur, affected by the wildfire, have been relocated to the Leprosy Hospital for treatment.
