KATHMANDU: Sudurpaschim State’s Chief Minister, Dirgha Bahadur Sodari, is slated to seek a vote of confidence on Friday, May 3rd.

This decision emerged from a collective meeting of the ruling coalition parties held on Tuesday morning at the offices of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers.

Man Bahadur Dhami, leader of the Maoist Central State Parliamentary Party, indicated that during the meeting, it was resolved for the Chief Minister to undergo a vote of confidence in the State Assembly on May 3rd.

Additionally, an accord was reached to allocate an additional ministry to the Nagarik Unmukti Party (NUP).

Per the agreement, the Nagarik Unmukti Party has been entrusted with the Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture, and Cooperatives.

Delegates from various parties, including UML, were present at the gathering. Sodari assumed the Chief Minister’s position with support from CPN-UML, the Maoist Center, NUP, and others.
