CPN-S secure just 408 votes in election where Jhala Nath was the commander!

KATHMANDU: In Ilam-2, CPN United Socialist Party and RPP have faced embarrassing defeat.

In this by-election, the candidate from the Unified Socialist Party, Jeet Bahadur Rai, managed to secure only 408 votes.

Ilam is considered the home district of the respected leader of the Unified Socialist Party, Jhala Nath Khanal.

He had deployed election commanders from the party for this election.

However, the disappointing outcome, along with no bail and arrest, has tarnished the image of the party.
