Son held for murdering mother

KATHMANDU: A 21-year-old Sandesh Diyali, a resident of Mai Municipality-2 Dipu Danda, Ilam was arrested by the police on Sunday night on the charge of murdering his stepmother, 31-year-old Netra Maya Khawas.

As soon as the news was received that Netra Maya died on the spot when Sandesh was intoxicated and struck during a domestic dispute, the police stationed at Danabari police station arrested him.

The police is conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
