Bajhang by-election: CPN (UML) doubles lead as votes counted in 4 wards

KATHMANDU: UML’s candidate Daman Bhandari has maintained his lead in State Assembly Constituency No. 1 (1) in Bajhang.

UML’s Daman Bhandari took the lead with a double margin of votes when the votes were counted in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th wards of Chabispathivera Rural Municipality.

While he secured 1,303 votes, Abhishek Bahadur Singh of Congress got 656 votes.

Janak Budha of Maoist got 401 votes while Dil Bahadur Singh of CPN Unified Socialist got 369 votes.

30,328 people voted in the by-election in Bajhang.
