Bajhang by-election: CPN (UML) takes lead, followed by Congress

KATHMANDU: In the by-election held in State 1’s Bajhang State Assembly (1), CPN (UML) candidate Daman Bahadur Bhandari is leading ahead of all.

During the vote counting in Wards No. 1 and 2 of Chabispathivera Rural Municipality, CPN (UML) candidate Daman Bahadur Bhandari has taken the lead.

According to the Election Office, when 1692 votes were counted, CPN (UML) candidate Daman Bahadur Bhandari secured 757 votes.

Similarly, Nepali Congress candidate Abhishek Bahadur Singh received 380 votes, CPN (Maoist Centre) candidate Janak Bahadur Budha secured 226 votes, and CPN (Unified Socialist) candidate Dil Bahadur Singh received 115 votes.

Additionally, National Democratic Party (Rastriya Prajatantra Party) candidate Kishor Khadka obtained 9 votes, while 28 votes were declared invalid.
