By-election: UML’s Bhandari takes early lead in Bajhang

KATHMANDU: In the by-elections held in Bajhang State Assembly (1), the CPN-UML has taken an initial lead.

In the vote count of Chabispathivera-2, CPN’s Daman Bhandari is leading.

With 403 votes counted, Bhandari has secured 157 votes. Abhishek Singh from the Nepali Congress has garnered 132 votes.

Third in line is Dil Bahadur Singh from the Nepal Communist Party Unified Socialist, who has obtained 51 votes.

Following closely behind is Janak Budhathoki from the CPN (Maoist Centre) with 47 votes.

Kishor Khadka from Rastriya Prajatantra Party has secured 3 votes, while independent candidate Kamal Raj Gharti has obtained 1 vote.
