13 people died in a road accident in Senegal

KATHMANDU: An automobile accident in central Senegal claimed the lives of 13 persons and wounded 40 others.

The accident occurred at 7 p.m.

According to local time, the accident occurred on National Road No. 1 near Yamong Village in the Kaffrine Region.

The catastrophe is alleged to have occurred when the bus toppled after a tire broke.

Following a string of mishaps, the Senegalese government took a number of steps to fight traffic accidents last year.
