Husband dies, wife severely injured in Gorkha accident
The victim has been identified as Ashok Gahatraj, aged 45, from Mirikot, Palungtar Municipality-10.
KATHMANDU: In a fatal motorcycle accident in Gorkha has resulted in the loss of one life.
The victim has been identified as Ashok Gahatraj, aged 45, from Mirikot, Palungtar Municipality-10.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramesh Kumar Shrestha from the District Police Office Gorkha, the accident occurred on Friday afternoon along the Gorkha-Aanbu Khairani road section, near Chaudhakilo of Gorkha Municipality-11, as the motorcycle with registration number Ga 13 Pa 932 lost control.
Following the severity of the injuries sustained in the accident, preparations were made to transfer the victim to the district hospital in Gorkha for treatment.
However, Ashok Gahatraj succumbed to his injuries at the district hospital in Gorkha.
The deceased, Ashok Gahatraj, had been a permanent resident of Mirikot, Palungtar Municipality-10, and had been engaged in the business of selling gold and silver, Naya Saghu, Ward No. 7 of Siranchowk Rural Municipality for several years.
His wife, Sita Gahatraj, has been undergoing treatment at the district hospital in Gorkha.
Further investigation into the incident is underway, as reported by the District Police Office Gorkha.
