DIG Chand appointed as Gandaki police chief

KATHMANDU: DIG Durga Singh Chand has been appointed as Gandaki State Police Chief by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Gandaki’s police chief position was vacant for a week.

DIG Bikashraj Khanal, who worked there, was placed on compulsory leave.

After that, Singh was assigned to the empty position.

Singh formerly worked at the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari.

Within four months of being in Ranipokhari, he was moved and assigned the key task of state police chief.
