Pedestrian dies in truck hit

KATHMANDU: A 22-year-old Sinendra Ram Chamar of Bara Gadhimai Municipality-5 and was residing in Sunsari, Itahari Sub-Metropolitan area, died on Thursday evening after being hit by a truck (State 1-02-001 Kha 9269) on the road near Sunsari, Duhabi Municipality-8 Jute Mill.

He was seriously injured in the accident and died during treatment at Koshi Hospital Biratnagar.

Currently, the police are searching for the absconding truck driver.
