Smooth commencement of Class 12 examinations nationwide

KATHMANDU: As of 8 am today, Class 12 examinations have kicked off simultaneously across the nation.
Dr. Mahashram Sharma, the Chair of the Board, reported that the National Examination Board has successfully initiated the examinations in 1,526 examination centers spread across 77 districts without any disruptions.
Additionally, the board designated a total of 1,526 examination centers within the country, along with one center in Japan.
To facilitate the examination process in Japan, question papers were dispatched via email to the examination centers.
The Chair of the Board, Dr. Sharma, has remarked, “The Class 12 examinations commenced peacefully across the nation from 8 am this morning. We are pleased to note the enthusiastic participation of the students in the examinations.”
A staggering total of 390,847 students, comprising 196,914 female and 193,933 male students, are participating in the examinations, scheduled from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.
Additionally, 100,650 students are participating in the grade increment examinations. Students from 5,542 schools nationwide are involved in the Class 12 examinations.
Out of a total of 1,526 exam centers, the most 144 in Kathmandu and one each in Manang and Mustang.
34,171 manpower and 18 thousand 300 police have been mobilized for conducting the examination, including the head of the center, assistant head of the center, inspectors, employees, office assistants.
This year also the question paper has been sent online. A ‘time password’ has been arranged when sending the question paper by email.
The National Examination Board has ensured all necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the examinations, and strict adherence to health protocols amidst the ongoing challenges posed by the pandemic.
The exams will continue until May 8th, with 1526 exam locations constructed, including an unprecedented one in Japan.
