One dies, one injured in Gulmi bike accident

KATHMANDU: One person died in a motorcycle accident in Gulmi.

Shankar Pokharel, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Gulmi, informed that 29-year-old Anilraj Gharti, a resident of Ward No. 3, Gulmi Darbar Rural Municipality, died in an accident.

A 31-year-old Yam Bahadur Suryavanshi of Gulmi Darbar-4 Bhattechaur was injured in the accident.

According to the police, the motorcycle of Lu 35 Pa 5484, which was travelling from Gulmi Darbar to Birwas, went out of control and fell down about 30 meters from the road.

DSP Pokharel said that Gharti, who was injured in the accident, died during treatment at Gulmi Hospital.

The injured Suryavanshi is being treated in Palpa.
