Partial cloudy in hilly belt; weather to remain fair in remaining areas
According to the Department's Weather Forecasting Division, there have been partial changes in the mountainous regions of Gandaki and Karnali States, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear.
KATHMANDU: The weather now is partly cloudy in Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim States while it is mainly fair in remaining areas.
According to the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, now the country has the influence of westerly wind and local wind.
The Division further shared the weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly region and mainly fair in the rest of the country this afternoon.
Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places of the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim States.
Light snowfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki and Karnali States.
There are chances of thunderstorm at a few places of Lumbini, Sudurpaschim State and at a few places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali States.
Similarly, there will be partly cloudy throughout the country tonight. Light snowfall and rain is likely to occur at one or two places of the high hilly region and mountainous region of Gandaki State.
In the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain followed by thunder and lightning at some places of the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim States.
