The Blue Jacaranda, scientifically known as Jacaranda mimosifolia, is one of the 48 native plant species in the United States. In Nepal, it is referred to as Birendra Phool.
Jacaranda trees are abundant in various regions worldwide, including Paraguay, Uruguay, Southern California, Florida, Mexico, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Italy, and Portugal. Additionally, they can be found in many parts of Nepal, Pakistan, and India in South Asia.
Known for its rapid growth and ability to withstand drought conditions better than other plants, the Jacaranda is highly adaptable.
