Boat accident in Phewa Lake: Five individuals rescued successfully
Immediately after the accident, the disaster management team deployed at Phewa Lake Rescue Watch Tower from No. 24 Kalika Gana Kaski rescued them safely.
KATHMNADU: Armed Police Force successfully rescued five individuals who were involved in a boat accident on Tuesday afternoon in Pokhara Metropolitan City-6, Phewa Lake, Kaski district.
Due to a sudden gust of wind, a double-paddle boat carrying 30-year-old Bikram Mikarani of Kathmandu-29, Anamnagar, 26-year-old Aashifa Bhanu, 54-year-old Anaja Dil Shah, 8-year-old Rajina Khatoon, and 2.5-year-old Mira Rani got stuck in the net of a fish farming center near Phewa Lake.

DSP Shailendra Thapa informed that the condition of those involved in the accident is normal.
This is not the first incident in Phewa Lake; similar accidents occurred on Apri 7 &11 due to sudden gusts of wind, resulting in successful rescues by the armed police force.
