KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) is schedule to conduct a free health camp.
KMC issued a statement on Tuesday announcing its intention to streamline the accessibility of healthcare services to the rural populace of Sudurpaschim and Karnali States by initiating simplified health camps due to the prevailing economic challenges hindering healthcare access.
The notice outlines the schedule of extensive free health camps to be conducted in various districts: Doti on April 25, Bajura on April 27, Humla’s Sarvoghat on April 28, Mugu’s Gamgadhi on May 1, and Kalikot and Jumla on May 3.
Participation in these free health camps will allow the general public to receive on-site medical treatment.
Services available at the camps will include treatments not limited to minor surgeries, cardiology, orthopedics, addiction medicine, obstetrics, and gynecology, catering to severe ailments that might require advanced medical attention.
Organizing such free health camps requires coordinated efforts and effective management, for which KMC has appealed for support and collaboration from all stakeholders.
