In the film, Oli plays the role of a prime minister.
KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and Chair of the CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli has initiated the shooting of the film “Nametine Ghau” at the party’s central office in Chyasal on Tuesday.
In the film, Oli plays the role of a prime minister.
The movie is based on the life story of acid survivor Muskan Khatun. Actor Ramit Dhungana stars in the film.
Just a few days ago, Madhav Kumar Nepal, also the Chair of the CPN (Unified Socialist), had also acted in the movie.
Director Ramit Dhungana, speaking during the shooting, revealed that there are 65 artists involved in the movie, including journalists.
He also mentioned that the shooting, which began today with Oli’s performance, has been completed in 51 days.
He said, “The name of this movie is asked why ‘”Nametine Ghau”? Whatever acid is poured on the body, no matter how many surgeries are done, it remains unhealed, hence the name ‘”Nametine Ghau.” It is based on someone’s biography. One movie is usually made, but within this movie, there are five movies. Chairman Oli’s acting, along with today’s arrival, has completed the shooting of the film in 51 days.”
The movie, based on social issues, has been shot in Pokhara, Nawalparasi, Birgunj, Rautahat, Banepa, Panauti, and Bhaktapur.
