Police officer pistol goes missing

KATHMANDU: A police officer on duty in Amlekhganj, Bara, has reported a missing pistol.

The automatic pistol, belonging to Senior Officer Purna BC tasked with combatting cannabis smuggling, has been misplaced.

Authorities state that the pistol went missing during a patrol in the northern forest area from Amlekhganj.

Responding to a tip-off about marijuana smuggling on Sunday night, the local police team from Amlekhganj initiated an investigation.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Dadhiram Neupane disclosed that the lost pistol was loaded with 10 rounds of ammunition.
