Journalist Vinay Yadav dies in motorcycle accident

KATHMANDU: Journalist Vinay Yadav of Dhanusha has passed away in a motorcycle accident.
The incident occurred on the road section of Janakpur-Dhalkebar, Ward No. 6 of Mithila Municipality.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ranjan Awal, Yadav was riding motorcycle with license plate number State 2-006 Pa 3035 towards Janakpur around 4 am when he lost control and collided with the railing on the roadside.
Yadav, who sustained serious injuries in the accident, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Bardibas-based Jansewa Hospital.
The 28-year-old Yadav hailed from Dhanushadham Municipality-5 in Dhanusha. He was engaged in journalism in Janakpur and had gotten married just a year ago.
He served as the Executive Editor of the e-news bureau Dotcom.
Yadav’s colleague, 30-year-old Laxmi Narayan Yadav from Dhanushadham-5, also suffered serious injuries in the accident.
He was riding pillion behind Yadav. He is currently receiving treatment at the state hospital in Janakpur.
Yadav’s body has been kept at the regional hospital in Janakpur for post-mortem.
Further investigation into the incident is underway.
