KATHMANDU: A fire erupted in the crude oil pipeline located in the eastern village of Farqalas, starting from the fourth station onwards towards the Homs province oil refining center.

Major Eyad Mohammad, commander of the Homs fire brigade, stated that various measures have been implemented to control the blaze, with a significant amount of crude oil being leaked, requiring prolonged efforts to extinguish the fire.

Several firefighting teams and heavy machinery have been deployed to the scene to assist in firefighting efforts.
