KATHMANDU: Vice-Chair of the National Assembly, Bimala Ghimire, has announced that she has resigned from all responsibilities of the party.

National Assembly Vice-Chair Ghimire issued a press release on Sunday and announced that he has resigned from all responsibilities of the party.

She stated that as long as she held that post, she would preserve legislative decorum and tradition while separating herself from the obligations of the party.

She has vowed to carry out the responsibilities outlined in the constitution, current laws, and National Assembly regulations with neutrality and impartiality while serving as Vice-Chair.

Vice-Chair Ghimire was elected National Assembly Vice-Chair on April 10 of last year.

She was elected to the National Assembly on behalf of the CPN (UML).
