Case registered against Bikal Paudel over PR acquisition
Paudel faces charges of unlawfully holding a public office by providing false information during the acquisition of his US Permanent Resident Permit (PR).
KATHMANDU: The former executive director of the Security Printing Press, Bikal Paudel, has been charged with an illicit acquisition of wealth, as per a case filed against him.
Arrested for allegedly unlawfully amassing wealth, the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority has brought forward a case against him in a special court for holding public office while possessing a US Permanent Resident Permit (PR).
Paudel faces charges of unlawfully holding a public office by providing false information during the acquisition of his US Permanent Resident Permit (PR).
Although the case against Paudel was filed in Baisakh of 2080, he was apprehended from his residence on Magh 10 on suspicion of misappropriation and embezzlement of public funds, despite the initial charges of corruption.
Authorities are currently investigating Paudel’s involvement in the alleged illegal acquisition of wealth.
