2 victims identified among the dead in Sindhupalchowk accident
The deceased were identified as Man Bahadur Thami from Dolakha Bhimeshwor Municipality and Shiva Shrestha from Bhimeshwor-1.
KATHMANDU: Three people were confirmed dead, including two identified, in a bus accident in Sindhupalchowk.
The deceased were identified as Man Bahadur Thami from Dolakha Bhimeshwor Municipality and Shiva Shrestha from Bhimeshwor-1.
The bus was carrying wedding attendants.
The accident occurred when a bus with registration number Ba 4 Kha 5616, en route from Dolakha Bhimeshwor-1 to Sindhupalchowk Tripurasundari-4 Piskar, veered off the road and fell into a gorge near Tautele of Tripurasundari-5 on Friday morning at around 7:30 AM.
Among the 52 injured passengers, 7 are in critical condition. Medical treatment is ongoing at Khadichaur Hospital and other local hospitals, with preparations underway to transfer the critically injured to Dhulikhel and Kathmandu.
The accident happened shortly after 7:00 AM.
