Mankamana cable car to be closed on Friday

KATHMANDU: Manakamana Cable Car will be closed for one day tomorrow, Friday.

Mankamana Darshan Pvt Ltd has advised that the cable car service will be stopped on Friday, April 19, for general maintenance on the cable car tower.

Ujjwal Sherchan, the company’s Deputy General Manager, announced that the service will resume regular operations on Saturday.

The cable car was placed into service in 2055 for the comfort of pilgrims travelling from Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-4 in Chitwan to Kurintar to the prominent holy site Mankamanamai temple in Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality-3 in Gorkha.
