Salyan bus accident: Bishnu BK, owner of bus dies during treatment

KATHMANDU: A passenger who was injured in a bus accident in Salyan on Wednesday died during treatment on Wednesday night.
Bishnu BK, a 46-year-old resident of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-4, tragically passed away during treatment at Rapti State Hospital Tulsipur.
The accident occurred around 11 am on Wednesday when a passenger bus with registration number Ra 1 Kha 2085, en route from Dang to East Rukum, veered off the bridge in Salyan Baghchaur Municipality-2, plunging into the Thinbang River below.
Deputy Superintendent of Police of District Police Office Salyan, Navin Karki, confirmed the unfortunate incident.
It’s particularly poignant that BK, the victim, was not only a passenger but also the owner of the ill-fated bus.
22 people were injured in the bus accident. Among them, four seriously injured were sent to Kohalpur Hospital.
Other injured are being treated in Dang
Three people who were seriously injured in the accident are currently being treated at the Teaching Hospital Kohalpur.
Most of the minor injured have returned home after treatment.
